Singer
Mariah Carey on
Saturday gave birth to twins, delivering a boy and a girl on the third anniversary of her marriage to
Nick Cannon, her orator said.
The babies were born soon after 9 a.m. local time at a
Los Angeles hospital, said Carey's spokesperson, Cindi Berger.
Berger said the offspring weigh over 5 pounds each, and the girl is 18 inches long while the boy is 19 inches. The names of the kids were not right away known.
Grammy attractive singer Carey and Cannon, an actor and rapper, were wedded on
April 30, 2008. "Babies were born on their marriage anniversary," Berger said in a announcement. "Not even
Mariah could plan that!"
Carey announced she was with child in October. At the time, Cannon said the pair overdue telling public about the pregnancy because Carey once suffered a miscarriage.
